We all know that a good range of dogs loves swimming, beaches, and chasing balls in open spaces. The UK's beaches vary enormously, from craggy deep water rocks with small hidden coves to large expanses of gently sloping sandy beaches.
Many beaches, particularly in the summer, will shut the beaches to dogs from May to October. It is always worth checking local Govt and council websites for real-time information. Also, beware of incoming tides and use online timetables to check the state of the tide. There is also often a big tidal range between neap and spring tides. Check the height of the low and high tides. What may one day look OK a few days later may add danger.
